Yesterday, Screencult were at the BVExpo 2011 at Earl’s Court, London, which was packed full of the latest technology and prospective buyers in the broadcast, video and film world.
We started our day off with a talk given about 3D at home, which was informative and definitely very optimistic in its projections for 2011. There were various 3D cameras and their rigs dotted all about the place. We checked out the BBC Studios one and were surprised at how clear the image was.
Below is a demonstration for one of our fave products of the show – the Technodolly. We had fun watching this demonstration show the craning and tracking on a reporter in a newsroom style set up.
Above is a the Tricaster from NewTek (don’t you love the names). You can basically have a three way camera setup and control it from one desktop computer. Neat. The guy demonstrating it thought so too.
And finally, below is Stormbroadcast‘s Green Screen offering -set backgrounds that you drop in and view as the person is presenting. Fun – I wouldn’t mind being put on a tropical island somewhere next time I’m presenting.
